Enhancement of the central sub-corridor- Phnom Penh-Bavet Expressway may include the travel time reduction and increase the effectiveness of transport, especially strengthen the regional cooperation with Viet Nam, with the General Department of Public Works as the project implementer.

The project also encounters some challenges including (due to the delays of the study, the company seems to lack human resources to conduct the study of project with reasons of Covid-19). In response to the problem, the working group also proposed the company to dispatch the experts and sub-contract company to implement urgent tasks by the end of 2020.
